Welcome to tabling.io. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the tabling.io platform, including all associated subdomains, features, and services. By accessing or using tabling.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the platform.
tabling.io is an event engagement platform that enables student organizations and other groups to track attendee participation at events using QR codes. The platform provides:
For organizers: event creation, booth management, QR code generation, attendance analytics, challenge and badge systems, data export, and third-party integrations (Google Calendar, Google Sheets, webhooks).
For attendees: QR code scanning to collect stamps, a digital passport with progress tracking, leaderboards, challenge completion, and badge earning.
You may create an account using email and password, Google sign-in, or magic link. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
Organizers can create an organization on tabling.io. Organizations have members with roles: owner, admin, or member. The organization owner is ultimately responsible for how the organization uses the platform, including how attendee data is handled.
You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration, notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account, and not share your account credentials with others.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice.
tabling.io allows attendees to participate in events without creating an account. Anonymous participation is managed through a device fingerprint and a browser cookie (dp_device). Anonymous sessions are tied to your device, not your identity.
Note: If you clear your browser cookies without first creating an account, your stamps and event progress cannot be recovered. tabling.io is not responsible for loss of anonymous participation data.
If you create or manage an organization on tabling.io, you agree to the following:
You are solely responsible for any attendee data you access, export, or receive through tabling.io — including CSV exports, Google Sheets syncs, webhook payloads, and dashboard views. You must handle all attendee data in compliance with applicable privacy laws, including FERPA (if applicable to your institution), CCPA, and GDPR. You must not sell, rent, or trade attendee contact information or personal data obtained through tabling.io. You must not use attendee data for unsolicited marketing, spam, or any purpose unrelated to the event for which it was collected. If you use attendee data beyond what is displayed within tabling.io, you are responsible for providing appropriate privacy notice to those attendees.
If you configure webhooks, you are responsible for securing your endpoint and any data received through it. If you connect Google Calendar or Sheets, you are responsible for the security and appropriate use of synced data within those platforms. tabling.io sends data to your configured endpoints in good faith and is not responsible for what happens to data after it leaves our platform.
You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of your event names, descriptions, booth names, and uploaded logos. You must not create events or booths that impersonate other organizations or individuals, and you must not use tabling.io to collect data under false pretenses.
If you become aware of a data breach involving attendee data obtained through tabling.io, you must notify us promptly at adrian@mancilla.com.
As an attendee, you have the right to participate anonymously without an account, create an account to save your stamps permanently, access your data through your passport page, and request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting adrian@mancilla.com.
You agree not to use bots, scripts, or automated tools to scan QR codes or interact with the platform, scrape or extract data through automated means, forge or reverse-engineer QR tokens, impersonate another person or organization, upload content that is malicious, offensive, or misleading, use the platform to harvest personal data for purposes unrelated to legitimate event engagement, or interfere with the platform’s infrastructure, security, or availability.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
The tabling.io platform — including its design, code, user interface, branding, and documentation — is owned by tabling.io and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our platform without prior written consent.
You retain ownership of content you upload to tabling.io, including organization logos, event descriptions, and other materials. By uploading content, you grant tabling.io a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating the platform. This license terminates when you delete the content or your account, except where the content has been shared with or exported by other users.
Digital passports, stamp cards, badges, and leaderboard entries are generated by the platform based on your event activity. These are platform features, not user-created content.
tabling.io integrates with third-party services including Google (OAuth, Calendar, Sheets). These integrations are optional and subject to the respective third party’s terms and privacy policy. tabling.io is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services. If a third-party integration fails or is discontinued, tabling.io is not liable for any resulting data loss or service disruption.
Organizer-configured webhooks send data to external endpoints outside our control. tabling.io is not responsible for how data is handled after delivery.
The platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times or without interruption, that anonymous participation data will be preserved if browser cookies are cleared, that data exports or webhook deliveries will always succeed, or that the platform will be free of errors or defects.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, tabling.io and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the platform.
This includes loss of anonymous stamps or participation data, organizer misuse of attendee data, failures of third-party integrations, and unauthorized access to your account due to compromised credentials.
Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of the amount you have paid to tabling.io in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless tabling.io and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the platform, your handling of attendee data obtained through tabling.io (if you are an organizer), or content you upload to the platform.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting adrian@mancilla.com. Organizers may archive or delete their events and organization data from the dashboard.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. We may discontinue the platform or any feature at any time with reasonable notice.
Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Data is handled according to our Privacy Policy, including applicable retention periods.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at adrian@mancilla.com and attempt to resolve the issue informally for at least thirty (30) days.
If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). The arbitration will take place in Maricopa County, Arizona, or remotely at the arbitrator’s discretion.
You agree to resolve disputes with tabling.io on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding.
The following are exempt from arbitration: claims that qualify for small claims court, and requests for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property.
Organizers are additionally subject to our Organizer Data Agreement, which governs your responsibilities regarding attendee data collected through the platform. By creating an organization, you agree to those terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will provide notice through the platform.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
