Effective Date: April 6, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how tabling.io uses cookies and similar technologies. For a complete overview of how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They help websites remember information about your visit.
tabling.io uses a minimal number of cookies, all of which are first-party — set by tabling.io, not by third parties.
Purpose: Identifies your device to track your stamps and event progress across QR scans. This is how we know which booths you have visited without requiring an account.
Duration: 1 year from last activity.
Set when: First QR code scan.
Purpose: Maintains your login session if you create an account. Enables authentication across tabling.io and dashboard.tabling.io.
Duration: Session-based.
Set when: Account login.
We do not use third-party cookies, advertising or retargeting cookies, analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel), tracking pixels or web beacons, or device fingerprinting for advertising purposes.
The device fingerprint we generate is used solely to maintain your anonymous event session. It is not shared with any third party or used for cross-site tracking.
Your stamps, badges, and challenge progress are saved across scans at the same event. You can return to your passport page and see your progress, and if you create an account later, your anonymous stamps transfer automatically to your profile.
Each QR scan would be treated as a new, unrelated visitor. Your stamps and progress would not persist between scans, and you would not be able to view your passport or complete challenges.
If you are signed in, the Supabase auth cookies keep you logged in as you move between tabling.io and dashboard.tabling.io. Without them, you would need to sign in again on each subdomain.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Clearing cookies removes your anonymous session — if you do not have an account, your stamps will be lost permanently. Blocking cookies will prevent tabling.io from functioning correctly, as QR scanning requires the dp_device cookie to track your progress. Using private or incognito browsing means cookies are deleted when you close the browser window, so your stamps will not persist between sessions.
If you want to keep your stamps permanently, we recommend creating a free account before clearing your cookies.
We may update this Cookie Policy if we change how we use cookies. Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
